Arrived at the hotel after an horrendous journey which took 6 hours and was immediately greeted with a very warm welcome and “You are our guest of the day” and have been upgraded to a suite as well as a free drink and 15% off a meal. Wow as you can imagine this lifted my spirits no end... I almost cried when she told me. It was my first visit away in a year after being off work on long term sick for a serious illness and I was feeling very low. My room was lovely if a little dated but spacious and clean. My meal in the restaurant was not good as my burger was dry and chips were very overdone... immediately the waitress apologised and offered to get me another meal and said I didn’t have to pay. As I was leaving the restaurant the manager Colin came over to apologise and again offered me something else. Breakfast next morning was lovely with a great choice. As I was sitting down Colin the manager came over to me and gave me a tin of Celebrations and a small bottle of bubbly. Well in all my 20 years of travelling I’ve never experienced such great service. On checkout they asked me what rating would I give and I gave a 10.. yes the meal the night before was not great on this occasion but it’s what they said and done to put it right that was important. From the moment I walked through the door to the moment I left the staff were all warm, friendly and welcoming and I look forward to going back in December. Thank you Colin and Team.

Good place to stay, nice gym and swimming pool. We were moved rooms without fuss due to noisy neighbours. Didn’t eat there as it seemed more expensive than we had remembered but menu looked good. Beds are comfy and rooms are a good size.

We have stayed here before and loved our stay. We booked for the Sunday lunch carvery that not only offered a lovely selection of choices was also good value as well and is thoughrohly recommended. You get personal service from the chef who, incidentally is a real character and you will love the meal served in such a friendly and nice surroundings. The Hotel has recently refurbished its Bar and Dining room areas to the highest standard but having said that 'Green might be not your thing.' but it looks lovely. The bedrooms are lovely and clean and decorated to a neutral décor so not to offend anyone. bed very comfy and the bathroom excellent. Most rooms have a 'Mira low flight' shower that is non slip and really good but if you require a bath/shower the Hotel will oblige if you ask am sure.
Breakfasts here are of a buffet style and offer a wide selection of choices to suit anyone's tastes.
The Staff here are lovely and so friendly am sure you won't be disappointed if you visit here.
Swimming pool and Gym are excellent and complimentary to Hotel Guests.
Lovely Hotel just a few hundred yards from the M62 and well worth while a stay.

Overlooking Brighouse is this lovely hotel. Clean and welcoming. I live locally and only until recently I found out about the restaurant The Cow on the Hill. A hidden gem. Love the views and the decor. The menu had a good varied choice priced a little more up market but very much worth it. It was delicious.
Mentioned the restaurant to some of my work colleagues the following day and they too had never heard of the place. Maybe good idea to get the word out there

Was pleasantly surprised, as I have never been to a Holiday Inn before. I loved my large room and it is always a plus for me when there is tea and a kettle. Also I could iron my clothes before my business meeting, something I have discovered is no longer an option at all hotels.
