The hotel is well situated in the downtown area. The night-market is right outside of the hotel (not too noisy). If you want a comfortable 3 star hotel (by international standards) but no frills place to stay for a reasonable price I would recommend this.
The rooms are quite spacious, the beds are comfortable (not too hard). The hotel will soon need a face lift, it is getting a bit worn here and there. There was no minibar when I stayed, although a refrigerator is provided.
The Hotel also has a run down night-club and a somewhat dull lobby bar. There is supposedly, a business centre in the hotel, next to the lobby bar. I didn't see any Internet connection in the hotelroom I had.
I didn't enjoy the breakfast as much as one of the previous reviewers. There seemed to be a quite reasonable amount of dishes (general Chinese staple and regional) although next to nothing if you prefer Western fare.
For excellent Western breakfasts, turn right outside the hotel, walk about 150 metres down the street and on the left side there are three coffee-places/restaurants; Mountain Cafe, Mekong Cafe and Mei Mei Cafe.More
