Description: Mazzoli Ice Cream Company, Central Pennsylvania's oldest Italian creamery, was founded in 1956 by Mr. & Mrs. Fred Mazzoli in Hershey. Mr. Mazzoli served as Milton S. Hershey's personal dairy chef at The Hotel Hershey and Hershey Creamery from the late 1920's to the early 1940's. He was a key confidant to Mr. Hershey on product development, and they worked hand-in-hand experimenting with flavors and ingredients to craft just the right frozen desserts.

“Tremendous ice cream!”
Reviewed 26 March 2012

This is a small ice cream shop and is rather hidden, but find it! It is well worth the trip. The ice cream is amazing. Everything is superb! My favorite is the Tortoni – almond ice cream with cookie crumbs on top. In reality every flavor is great. Peppermint stick is another great one. If you like Italian ice, try the cranberry. It is tart and refreshing. We have always found the staff friendly and happy to help. It is really nice to see a local shop with such a great product. We try to visit every time we are in the area.

“A MUST GO FOR GREAT ICE CREAM”
Reviewed 6 August 2011

Great great everything. Amazing ice cream, the girls inside were so helpful, and SOOOO many Flavors and types. Gelato, sherbet, frozen yogurt, and ice cream. Normally I'm insanely loyal to my fav little place in jersey, but this might just be even. Very small store, but they have a beautiful sitting area outside. Hard to find because it is in a backyard almost, but DEFINATLY worth the driving around. THE PLACE TO BE FOR GREAT ICE CREAM IN HERSHEY.

“A hidden piece of Hershey history!”
Reviewed 3 May 2011

Mazzoli Ice Cream was founded by Mr. Fred Mazzoli decades ago. Mr. Mazzoli was the head ice cream maker in Mr. Hershey's creamery at the height of Mr. Hershey's success. Once he stopped working for Hershey, Mr. Mazzoli and his wife set up a quaint shop on Govenor's Road (322) in Hershey, behind their house. The business still stands today and they still use the delicious recipes that Mr. Mazzoli created. The ice cream is hand-dipped and absolutely mouth-watering. They have interesting Italian flavors like Tortoni and Spumoni but also carry some of the favorites that we've all grown up with. Their sundaes and milkshakes are out of this world as are their pies and ice cream sandwiches. They also make gelato, sorbet, and italian ice. I've been going to this place for years and was shocked to find that no one had written a review for it yet. It is simply a MUST VISIT when you come to Hershey.
