A group of us get together on a monthly basis for lunch at various places in the Hazleton area. This month's pick was "The Pines". The name was taken from a popular restaurant known as "Byorek's Knotty Pines". Some of the old restaurant's original offerings have been recreated, but most of the menu is new. The selection is more than adequate. You'll definitely find something you like. Draft beer selection is good. In addition to the usual brands, seasonal microbrews are available. Free parking is available at the rear of the restaurant. Just be sure to ask your waitress for a token to open the gate, or you will be charged. Also, the sign out front should be bigger. You can easily miss it when driving by.
