This Inn is very much a period piece. The decor and furnishings are all very dated but fit nicely with the feel of the place. It's like visiting your grandmother's house. Very peaceful and inviting.
We had reserved the King Suite, room 4,for a three night stay. The room is large and comfortable. The carpet however was worn and stained, in bad need of replacing. The bathroom is in serious need of updating. Quaint and charming is nice, but old and cramped isn't. It is almost impossible to shower in the tiny tub with wrap around vinyl curtain. To make matters worse, the drain was clogged.
However, Pat the substitute Innkeeper was terrific. She immediately moved us to room 1, a queen suite, which is lovely with a huge bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our last two nights.
The hearty country breakfast was excellent every morning.More
