Room very dated. Could see daylight around door. Manager insisted I reserved my same room. 1st time there. He then said Breakfast was more than expected. It was, powdered eggs and bacon that needs no refrigeration. Ice machine around two other closed empty building in a space with 4" of trash on floor. Wyndham needs to review these places.
I was very disappointed in the condition of your motel. The rooms were dirty the beds were comfortable and it was very outdated. The outside was run down and the corridors were filthy. The pool was dirty and the hot tub was inoperable. The breakfast was lacking and your main entrance had an odor. I stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and was satisfied. I will never stay at this hotel again and will not recommend it to anyone.
My wife and I planned a 10-day vacation trip to the Inn at Little Washington in Washington, Virginia, and the Greenbrier resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. So our first day of travel from Chicago was capped by a night at the Wyndham Travelodge in Bedford, Pennsylvania. We have stayed at the Travelodge in the past, when our destination was Gettysburg and Antietam and Harpers Ferry. It was under different ownership at that time but it remains our favorite first-night stop when vacationing in the East. Why? It's quiet, clean and comfortable. We enjoy a large room with a king-size bed, relaxing chair, microwave, refrigerator, ironing board and iron, coffee-maker, two vanities/sinks in the bathroom and a top-notch shower head. How many times have you stayed at a motel that didn't offer a terrific shower? In addition, you can park your car only two steps from your front door, allowing for easy unpacking and packing. And when you travel with as much luggage as we do, that's a great convenience. The free breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. gets you going on the road with a full stomach and lots of energy. Bedford, on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, is a convenient stop, only 16 miles from Breezewood, which is the jumping-off exit for Gettysburg and I-70 and the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. One last thing: After a long drive, it's nice to be greeted by a smiling face at the front desk who is anticipating your arrival and fills you in on everything you need to know to enjoy a restful overnight stay.
Room cleanliness was just okay. Ice machine broken. Breakfast was HORRIBLE! Dirty tables (when reported was given a rag to clean my table), food selection not even close to advertised. Two families stayed and both stopped for breakfast when leaving.
I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and it's been great. My last stay was 3 years ago and boy have things changed since then! Previously there was a decent buffet breakfast with a waitress that served hot coffee, and the rooms were all slated to be upgraded. There have definitely been no updates to the rooms since I last stayed and there is no longer any real breakfast! There was some bread and a waffle-maker which has seen better days - the plastic coating was peeling off of iit! The coffee was terrible and when my cousin found a sticky table, the practically non-existant attendant HANDED HER THE RAG TO WIPE IT HERSELF. I feel awful suggesting the place to my cousin as we were all on our way to a family party.
The rooms were still fairly clean as in the past but I wouldn't expect that in the future. I will stay in Bedford again but I won't stay at the Travelodge. I had to go down the street to Sheetz to get breakfast. We even tried to get a bit of ice for our cooler since we didn't get the breakfast we paid for - the ice machine had been ripped out!
