When we entered we are unsure whether to order at the counter or take a seat at a table, but the very nice lady (owner) behind the counter told us we could take a seat anywhere. As we sat down, we kept quiet as we noticed her husband praying on his prayer mat in the corner of the dining area.
This place has great food, great service in a nice relaxed setting (we almost felt as if we were in their house as they too began eating dinner at another table). Falafel, hummus, Shawarma, mint tea, Turkish coffee and Shawarma plate over rice are all four excellent choices. I sampled bites of the whole family's food. You cannot go wrong with either the lamb or the chicken. Very good pita bread.
Fun fact: Al Aqsa is a Mosque and is the third holiest site in Islam and is located in the Old City of Jerusalem.
