I have purchased bottles of wine from this store on many occasions, and have eaten meals there several times (sometimes associated with one of their wine tasting events). The atmosphere is charming, and it is part-store and part-restaurant. It started out as a store. The menu is small and limited; however, the food is always very good (although sometimes the crab chowder is a little salty). Warning - don't go starving because the food tends to take a long time to come out after ordering. Note - there is a great seafood store next door (Fitts), so I often take a cooler with me.

This shop has it all. A good selection of wine from the region and around the world. Wednesday is white, rose or bubbly tasting. Friday night is red tasting. The flight of 5 or 6 is a little spendy, but you can ask for a half pour (1 ounce tastes). You get to taste wines at price points you may never buy, which is fun. Any time you can come in and order a glass or bottle to share.

We are regulars here, and have enjoyed being here as a couple, and with friends.

The food here continues to improve. Wonderful snacks to go along with your wine, from cheeses to meats to olives to flat breads. They are adding more entrees for a satisfying meal. The seafood comes from Fitts next door, so is always good. Try the crab open faced sandwich. We had meat loaf wrapped in bacon the other night which was amazing. Tasty and comforting.

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the wine. It can get busy and slow, but this is a place to relax. Bring friends, or a special someone, and enjoy.

Have been visiting this shop for their wednesday and friday wine tastings. They feature a varietal with six selections, either a full or half taste, for $16 to $28 usually. Many food selections, from spaghetti, lasagna, flat breads, great salads and more.

Went there to buy wine; after awhile, we were tasting some wines and decided to stay for a glass. Very low key and comfortable; not the usual prentiousness in most wine arenas. Ended up staying for food; had a dungeness crab melt! Yum! If you are a seafood fan and love wine this is the place to go in Salem, Oregon. The fish store next door provides Santiam with very tasty seafood. We loved it there. Would recommend you stop in for a taste!

Well, we met 'the Dragon Lady' and had a lot of laughs - especially about a reviewer's comments on another site. We were there about an hour, she was getting ready for a tasting and, having put on many of these, her operation was first rate. We bought a wide variety of OR/WA wines and supper to go and it was delicious. Highly recommended!
