Review of Black Bear Diner

Black Bear Diner
Ranked #31 of 144 Restaurants in Redmond
Price range: US$5 - US$20
Cuisines: American, Diner
Description: Step inside the Black Bear Diner in historic downtown Redmond and you behold an atmosphere full of modern touches, but with a hint of nostalgia. Maybe it’s the tree in the middle of the restaurant that stands out, or perhaps the delicious aroma of homestyle cooking is what’s getting your blood pumping. In the morning, you’re likely to see some of the ranchers and farmers getting ready for a full day of work, and possible even a cowboy or two. Later in the day, we’re often host to tourists and locals visiting Smith Rock, the JAQUA Sports Complex, the many PGA-designed golf courses, and the Expo Center that hosts a variety of attractions and events.

Great staff, overworked, friendly. Food okay, typical diner fare but not outstanding. Would be better for breakfast or lunch.

We both ordered a southern breakfast , we could have split one and still been full! Bid home made biscuits , couple eggs , slab of sausage , all covered with gravy! I had to take some home , wife had to take close to half hers home!

One of the "go to" places for a great breakfast at at good price! Service is always good even when it's busy. You'll leave happy and your wallet won't be empty.

Food was alright. Service was alright. Dessert looked great though! Wish we’d been hungry for dessert....it looked great.
