Second time to the restaurant.
Sushi was tasty but the nigiri were not very well formed, without enough rice.
All of the other dishes were very good, and a good sale choice.
Very good atmosphere.
Finally, I ordered a dish by mistake, and the waiter sorted it out with no fuss.
This is a v good restaurant. The best Japanese I've visited in Portland.

When in Portland meeting family Masu has always been first on our list of places to go. Recently we were given a table but had to wait for service. The waiter was not knowledgeable and not in best of moods. The fish was not as fresh as in the past and portions much smaller.

we had a reservation for a family celebration.there was no one to seat when we arrived for almost ten min at the reception. I was served cold miso soup and when asked for it to be warmed was served another bowl of cold soup. water refill didn't happen for 30 min, soy sauce container was empty at the table and waiter nowhere to be found. yakitori was below average. service was a major issue. the miso noodles soup had soggy noodles.I am on a restricted sugar diet when asked the waitress didn't explain the menu at all. I love Japanese food but the experience was not worth my money $$$$

We brought a large group here and made reservations. Arriving, it was quiet and our table was ready. Our server was very attentive and helpful. She answered all questions and offered great recommendations. Everyone enjoyed the choices and found the sushi to be amazing. Great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for sushi lovers!

Tucked away upstairs off of 13th is the best sushi in downtown Portland. Service is great, sushi is fresh, little pricy, but superb. Sake menu could be expanded upon, but good enough .
