Wow, this place has extraordinary dogs and sausages on grill outside and great foo inside. Unbelievable selection of deli meats and fresh cuts. The downside is that parking really sucks and the next door bistro that no one goes to has an empty parking lot.

This is a fine restaurant in the Portland Hawthorne area. Small but really packs a punch for great food, drinks and staff. The soups are to die for as is the pasta and salad dishes we had. Everything is fresh made and the drinks menu is as creative as the food menu. It changes at the whim of the chef and is very reasonable for the quality and quantity.

My husband and I were searching for a new place to eat an early dinner and saw the sign that said FRESH SARDINES on a little A-board sign outside a small restaurant. We both said, "Why not!" Otto (named after the owner's dad) is a small family run restaurant with excellent food. The menu is quite diverse from fried pork belly(witih a yummy potato and purslane brown gravy mixture to fried chicken with kimchee! There are also creative vegetarian option like the beet with veggies sandwich and beet borsch. My husband and I share five dishes and dessert and our bill was about $40, so prices are reasonable. We didn't order a full size entree which ran from about $11 - $16, but there are lots of small plates, salad and appetizer choice for much less. We highly recommend this place and if you are there at about 5 PM on a weekday there are lots of tables! Decor is retro 60-70s colors. Casual setting.
