Farewell to the best restaurant ever. Will miss the gracious feeling of dining in Gerry's home!!! Best of luck to Gerry and his family in the next chapter . You helped make Portland great. Kathy Gordon and Bill Farver

Too bad it's closing in 3 weeks. The owners who also own a food distribution sold the restaurant and will getting out. No word on what it's going to be.
Food was good and good location. Too bad you won't get a chance to enjoy

We have been going to Alexis since it opened. Like 30 years. Wow, I'm getting old. The food is still very good and the prices are excellent for what you get in downtown PDX. The dining room hasn't changed at all and the service is still just right.

the thing that has changed is Portland's attitude towands the homeless. Thais is not unique to the Rose City, but it makes going to this wonderful restaurant just a bit less enticing than it once was.

For three people we shared a combination plate, a pastitsio meal and a mousaka meal. Everything was perfect. Be brave and have some great Greek food. Opah!

We had the combination plate at lunchtime and it was yummy. We often go to Greece on vacation and loved the food. it was really authentic.

Our waitress was helpful and friendly

We ordered a variety of food and actually had a carry-out. But the interior of this restaurant is delightful and if we had not been concerned about parking the car, I would have loved to have dined here. The large bar and ample dining spaces with warm wood finishes are welcoming and restful. This is not apparent from the plain exterior as the building faces Burnside and is located near Oldtown with a fair amount of wandering souls on the sidewalks.
But the food is delicious and I ordered the sample platter which included a lamb skewer, octupus, hummus, dolmathes etc. We had pita, and a whole loaf of their bread; sorry I did not order the baklava, but I was trying to be good to my waistline!
Do try Alexis when you get hungry for Greek food!
