“Fantastic, well equipped cottage, in lovely area and close to good restaurants and public transport”

The cottage is small, but really well designed. It's also very warm on colder nights due to the eco build. We found it was really well equipped. The area is really quiet, but is max 20 minutes walk away from a whole host of restaurants in SE Portland, which is the up and coming area for eating. Good coffee abounds also. It's about 10 minutes walk to a street car stop, but I think there are buses even closer. Susan was a great host and was quick to answer any questions we had. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

“A Neighborhood Favorite Of Ours”
Reviewed 19 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

This beautifully decorated and totally eco-designed cottage in the city was a wonderful find. Nestled in a lovely old neighborhood in east Portland, it was quiet, private, and yet accessible to all one would want to see and visit--either by public transportation or by car. There was lots of natural lighting due to sky lights, the kitchen was very well equipped, the bed and pillows very comfortable, and the living room inviting and relaxing after a couple of days of exploring both locally and in the outlying area. Even the walkway from the cottage through the backyard and past gardens around the owner's house was a treat. One very small and minor drawback was how long one had to run the water to get it to warm up for showers and dishes.. I felt a little guilty and wasteful. This was our first visit to Portland, and we definitely would love to return. There is so much to see and do, and staying in a neighborhood with lots of restaurants nearby and picturesque walks was the best!

Thanks Joan! It was lovely to host you. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and the little details I provide for people to enjoy. I'm so sorry that we didn't talk about the hot water so that you could have it just the way you like it. That's my fault as I didn't tell you there's a trick to get it hot much sooner. Next time, I hope, as you're always welcome back! Susan

Wow, we were so impressed with every single detail of this breatthaking reto modern cottage. The ECO PDX Cottage was everything the pictures from the website showed. We loved being able to cook in the adorable kitchen, saved us so much money then going out for every meals. The bonus of being able to do our laundry while our stay for almost a week. Love being able to enjoy fresh ground coffee using the french press and sitting out in the cozyie chairs enjoying the fresh air and being able to see their lovely veggie garden. I would highly recommed to my family & friends this amazing breathtaing, warm sweet beautiful ECO PDX Cottage, Susan the owner made us feel so welcomed when we came. We loved all the windows through out the cottage. Love that we could see the beautiful sky through the celing winddoor in bedroom & bathroom. The cozy reto modern family room was so relaxing & very comfortable. This one of favorite vacation I've taken in a very long time. Looking forward to come back her for another vacation in the future. love that we were able to walk around the neighborhood and see 4 different rose garden very very impressed was not expecting that. Love that the ECO PDX Cottage is such a ECO friendly cottage. Love being able to see so many people ride their bikes to work that live in area. Everyone we meet were so friendly & kind.

What a lovely spot Susan has provided. The cottage was fun as well as functional from the way it was laid out to the great SMEG fridge. The neighborhood was great to walk in and we found a magnificent Portland Heritage Tree while walking around. Lots of good stuff to look at in Ladds! The location couldn't be beat, close to a great market and my favorite restaurant, POK POK. We will be back, hope there will be an opening, this cottage would be hard to beat!
