The hotel staff was awesome, the room clean, and you couldn't ask for a better location. Its about 4 blocks to the Moda Center, and there are restaurants and a 7-11 nearby.
I would definitely stay here again!

I would recommend this place to anyone who doesn't mind humble accommodations, appreciates friendly and efficient staff, and just needs a place to crash for the evenings. Although we appreciated our stay, we wouldn't stay here again.
The staff is lovely. We were always welcomed and house cleaning did a good job tidying after us. It is also dog-friendly which helps, the room is big enough for a small-medium sized dog and 2 people without feeling cramped. Bad news - two cars were broken into the first night we stayed, our car was parked right next to the two cars broken into too which is how we knew about it. Luckily our windows weren't smashed, but the staff should've sent a message to all the motel guests to not leave valuables in their cars - or just taken some extra care and some responsibility for the petty crime (and expensive crime!) that happened on their property.
What was important and used frequently was clean; the bed, the toilet, towels, sink, tub, sheets etc. There were stains on the carpet and overall the carpet looked and felt pretty dirty (I didn't want to walk barefoot, it felt gross), dust in certain parts of the room, coffee wasn't for us (we like strong coffee), the hallways looked like they needed a deep clean.
The staff made our stay feel warmer, so if that is important to you give them a chance and just park right by the entrance. The entrance is opposite another hotel where there are more people walking by- it felt like a safer choice parking our car there than further in the back.

Room tip: park car's near entrance!

My husband and I decided to stay here on our recent trip to Portland. We found the staff to be friendly and the hotel to be in a nice location (within walking distance to the Moda Center). Parking was free and we were offered a continental breakfast each morning.

We were a little disappointed in the room itself (it was dated with lots of stains on the carpet and had a funky smell). The bathroom definitely needs some work. We did not receive housekeeping at all during our stay either. Our upstairs neighbors sounded like they were having a stomping contest the second night.

Overall, the stay was okay. We really did like the location. If we decide to stay here again, we will definitely request a room on the top floor...

I have no clue how this hotel got passed in building codes. you have to straddle the toilet to close the bathroom door or get into shower. if medical emergency I'd hate to be in the bathroom needing help. the rest of the room is fine. thankful the sink is outside bathroom. Don't stay here if you have medical needs or are elderly.
1st morning not much option on breakfast. slim pickings, 2nd morning it was ok.
Staff is friendly and quick to respond to needs.

Room tip: ADA might be your best bet, bathroom huge issue in other rooms
