The hotel is conveniently located off the I-84 and we were here on an overnight road trip stop from the Columbia River Gorge. It’s a comfortable hotel with modern rooms well equipped for the traveller. The public rooms are light and airy and the staff very efficient and friendly. They recommended the Hamleys Steakhouse in Pendleton which was a good tip. My only complaint (and this is for all Holiday Inn Express hotels) is the overuse of disposable cups/plates/cutlery in both the rooms and the breakfast area. This is creating a mountain of waste, it’s expensive in the long run and makes the place look cheap. HIE really need to look at this policy. Start using recyclable cups/plates/cutlery (melamine would be fine!) and get the dishwasher working!

We stayed here for one night and it was great. It was close to the freeway, clean, comfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool. The quality was consistent with a HIE. We got in early and had time to see downtown Pendelton as well. I recommend checking out Pendelton and staying in this hotel.

Room Tip: We had a suite. The layout was nice and there was plenty of room for a family.

Staff greeted me with enthusiasm and had the room location I had requested. The property is easily accessed from the Interstate and there are restaurants nearby.

They've upgraded the lobby and great room which only add to the positive experience.

Room Tip: Easterly view; upper most floor; away from elevator and ice machine

Made reservation on line but with tech issues; received error notice from IHC site. Called front desk & all was in order. Check in was smooth; friendly & helpful front desk staff made a great restaurant recommendation for dinner (see review for Virgil’s at Cimmiyotti’s) and gave us a coupon for free dessert there! Room (king bed) nice & large with bathroom actually big enough to turn around in and then some-and close the door! Everything worked: minifridge has freezer compartment for my reusable ice packs ☺️(YAY!), microwave clean & simple to operate. Lots of counter space & plug ins to charge devices. Breakfast (6:30-9:30) a step above the usual mediocre with regular or egg white omelets, both bacon & sausage & a pancake maker. Only recommendation: have 2 luggage stands so one doesn’t have to go on the floor. Housekeeping very good; no complaints about cleanliness. Other issue: they give you a WiFi password, we found the network easily enough but never was there a page to input the password. i-devices saw it as an unsecured network & security kept advising to disconnect. No issues I’m aware of tho, so far. Kind young man at the desk even called his manager to check on it; explanation was it’s a public network, so phone recognizes it as unsecured. Not sure I bought it, but no issues yet.

We stayed here on our last night on a long round trip form Vancouver to Vegas. The property is very easy to access off I-84. There is ample parking for vehicles and lots of street parking for large trucks. We stayed using points which was a good value compared to other HIE properties.

Check-in was friendly but could be more efficient. After we were handed our keys we were told to wait while housekeeping double-checked the room. Then the agent got involved with another guest. We knew our room was ready by hearing it over the radio.

The lobby is relatively spacious with a sitting area. There is one, small elevator but we didn't have to wait and it wasn't crowded. The room is spacious with ample power outlets and a strong, stable wifi signal. The washroom was clean but the towels weren't very soft. Water pressure and temperature in the shower was very good. We found the bed to be comfortable although many might call it a bit firm. There isn't much of a view but it's quiet especially considering the proximity to the highway.

We did find that the walls and doors were not very sound proof. You could easily hear guests talking in the hallway and letting their doors slam. Housekeeping was also a bit loud.

All things considered this is a great place to stay if you're passing or visiting Pendleton. Your on the SE part of town with easy access to the city. It's also only a few minutes drive to the Wildhorse Resort and casino.
