The beach was nice and good view of the rock, but the trails were all sandy paths. It was fine for a while, but after a few miles on sand just walking through woodsy trails with nothing spectacular to look at we were done. We ended up doing the whole 5 miles (missed a turn), and walked most of the last mile on the beach, which was fine and had a view and breeze, but would not repeat this hike. To park and just hang on the beach the park is fine. If you do the hike, be sure to pick up a complimentary map. It is very well marked along the way.
