Coffee lovers land here instinctively and are never disappointed! Great, great lattes!! The giant pancakes are PLATESIZE huge and the fresh fruit parfaits are healthy works of art to compliment any coffee or pastry selection.
The staff is helpful and so accommodating -answering general touristy questions and making suggestion for the area's 'must not miss' list.

Stopped by here yesterday for a cup of coffee. There were two people in front of us in line ordering their food. Waited over 15 minutes for the clerk to take their order. Then we ordered just a house coffee thinking that would be fast. Took over 10 minutes to get a house coffee!! And it was weak. Wouldn't stop by again

The oysters looked huge, but they were almost entirely breading. The pastie was mostly a pastry crust with a little filling. The crust was greasy and tough. It could not be cut with a fork and was difficult with a knife. Coffee was extremely strong, I would suggest that you order a small cup and a half of a large cup of hot water unless you really want super strong coffee. Not worth the time or money.

You go to the front and order/pay then wait at a table for your food. It was a perfect breakfast! Ours was easy with eggs and bacon but we watched a blueberry pancake come out that had to be the size of a bicycle wheel! We opted for fruit instead of the potatoes and extremely surprised at the amount and the taste! Wow!

As a coffee purist I appreciate coffee as it is brewed. No cream or sugar... nothing but the bean. I am a raving fan of Starbucks dark roast coffees, but this is better. By nature the coffee here WILL always be the freshest. They only do pour overs and that takes time of course, but is well worth it.

The menu is amazing and affordable. I had the mushroom asparagus omelette with sundries tomato aioli. The panfried breakfast potatoes were tasty, fresh too and cook to perfection.

As it seems to be in this little fishing village part of Newport, every single item at every single shop, is prepared fresh and from scratch. In my 25 years in food service, this is the best area I’ve experienced that for.

The last note on the coffee house- although it’s counter service for ordering, the customer service makes you feel you’re one of the family.

Truly excellent!
