On our trips along the Oregon Coast we have stopped a couple times along at the Devils Punchbowl. It was named because of a rock formation in a large bowl shape. When the tide is high it fills up and the water mixes around.
Unfortunately on our last trip the tide was out and there were only a few small waves at the bottom. The shore line is interesting and we got a few pictures, but the wheater was so wet and windy that we didn't stay very long - just enough to stretch our legs.
On a nice day there are benches and a grassy area where you could sit.
