To me a hotel is good if it is comfortable, clean, quiet, everything works as designed to and has a good breakfast. This is a good hotel. Beth, who was working the main desk when we arrived, made our stay most memorable. She is a Gem. Definately would stay here again.

I wasn't expecting much as I haven't stayed at Comfort Inns before. I figured it didn't matter as we were only staying one night. However, our room was really nice. I was almost shocked when I walked in, it looked like it had just been updated and it was a Marriott or something. Room wasn't huge, but it was really nice. The sink was separate from the bathroom so two people could each use one or the other. The breakfast was decent and included make your own waffles, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, juice, and more.

Hotel was OK but left a bit to be desired. Despite the fact that the Oregon Coast is usually pretty cool, the rooms did not have AC (a small standing fan stored in the wardrobe was the hotel's solution), and it got pretty warm in the room.

In addition, the hotel employee working the continental breakfast was pretty surly and oblivious to the hotel customers (coffee and milk both went dry a half hour before continental breakfast ended both in the room where breakfast was being held AND next to the concierge table. The hotel GM had to brew more coffee himself!).

Basically, it's an affordable, clean hotel for a night or two on the Oregon Coast, but don't expect anything more than basic accomodations.

We were on a week-long vacation to the Pacific Northwest (stayed at five different hotels), and this room was by far our best night's sleep in that week! The bed was incredibly comfortable! We were within close walking distance to the beach and watched the sun set. It's close to the Oregon Coast Aquarium and Yaquina Head & Yaquina Bay lighthouses. Very reasonably priced and luckily it wasn't too warm outside because as others have said (although it's stated right on the hotel's web page and we knew this going into it) there aren't A/C units in the rooms.

The furnishings and decor were new. The king bed with the 5 pillows and great pillow top mattress gave us a very good nights sleep. The personnel were friendly and helpful but were stingy with the evening cookies. Breakfast was adequate. There was no view of the ocean.
