Covid-19 trip. Lots of changes everywhere. Check in was mandated at 3pm and was handled through a small window rather than in the lobby. A Little difficult, but it was fine.
The clerk was nice and efficient.
Lots of Covid signs about no linen changes and that was all fine, too. As I wrote, the people were very nice. That said, even without Covid this is just an average hotel at best.
The signs did speak about things, and I’m paraphrasing, don’t nuke us in reviews because of Covid. I’m not.
The rooms look to be recently, and very lightly refurbished, but they are below average. They were clean and free of smells, but even with what looks like new carpets and paint, they were just tired looking. Way old furniture, a shower so small and dull with age that it was not pleasant at all. The water hits you in the chest so you have to duck down to shampoo and rinse.
Room size was good and the bed was comfortable. I was never able to get the bedside lamp or plug to work. Tried everything I could think of, but no go.
I did appreciate the fridge and microwave. Came in handy
For $99 it was satisfactory. For their normal $200 rate, it would have been disappointing.
Not a bad place to stay, just not great either.More
