We just spent 1-night in the cabins at Champoeg, on our drive from Seattle to Ashland. It was a great halfway point to our trip. We chose the cabins to save some money while traveling, and to have a dry place to stay as opposed to a raining tent camping spot. The cabin (3) was very clean and appeared to be rather new. There was space to sleep up to 5 people on a futon, double-bed and single bunk, a table with 2 chairs, and it was a short walk to the bathhouse. The cabins had electric, a nice porch, and window coverings. It was also right next to a nice bike trail along the Willamette River. I'd definitely recommend the cabins for anyone looking to save some money, finding them to be beautiful and much, much nice than an equivalently priced hotel room.
