Description: Great local bistro that has been doing a great lunch and dinner business here in medford since 2008. We specialize in northern style cooking with our own northwest flair. Using local ingredients when we can. We have the largest local wine selection in the area. And also one of the first to have local really quality red and white wines on tap as well.

Ate at Pomodori with a large group, and service was attentive. Food is well prepared, salads fresh an inviting, bread is good and chewy, wine list long and varied. The menu offers a good variety of choices, but I was a little disappointed to see that nearly all of the sauces ("gravy" as an Italian would call it) were cream sauces. Just a couple of plates with marinara or similar tomato-based. The restaurant is on Main St. in downtown Medford, and has no private parking lot. Street parking generally available at dinner time since Medford pretty much pulls in the sidewalks at night. Prices on the moderate to high range.

Food and service are very good. The owners are involved in both the kitchen and diningroom. They have good wines and a great bar

The server was very nice but very overworked. My husband had wild shrimp and scallops the scallops were not cooked enough. He said it needed more cheese as well. I had chicken pomodori. Again it cried out for some cheese. Very bland. Quite noisy but at least it was people and not loud music.

We have been Pomodori several times, most recently on a Thursday night before taking in a show at the Craterian. We have always enjoyed the food there and they continue to measure up. On various occasions, we have tried the bruschetta and stuffed mushroom appetizers -- both very good. As for entrees, everything we've tried has also been good -- brandy fried shrimp, stuffed tenderloin, gnocchi and veal parmesan. What makes Pomodori and exceptional value is that entrées come with soup or salad, and the price of their entrees are already very reasonable. We ordered the Il Carino Rosso sangiovese which is a light-style Italian wine that pairs pretty well with the rich sauces that they serve. We like a couple Italian restaurants in Medford and Pomodori is one of them.

We went with friends. We had four people in our group and each of ordered something different for dinner. We were greeted and seated at a table promptly. Service was very good. We all enjoyed our meals. The lobster fettuccine and pork chop entrees were very flavorful. Excellent. The Mac and cheese and risotto dishes were equally delicious. Every item was freshly made. The space is small so I would say this is an excellent dinner place for 1-4 people. If more seats needed, I would suggest reservations. The seating is limited. This restaurant is very much worth trying. You’ll be back.
