Good food, huge portions. My son would have given the review a 5 star just for the yummilicous cinnamon rolls. Try to get there early as they might sell out.

I've been here several times, and it always meets expectations. The service is always friendly and efficient, and the food is always great (although the menu tends towards the basics). This time it was for breakfast, and I had a delicious omelette. The value is reasonable. The restaurant isn't much to look at from the outside, but it's clean if uninspired on the inside.

Been to Rooster's a few times, this time I ordered their ChickenFried steak breakfast, $11.95 prices. Even though I opted for toast I still got a small slice of their signature cinnamon coffee cake (nice touch.) When the plate came out the steak was the size of a small Buick, huge and they followed my instruction to put the gravy on the side. two eggs cook as ordered and plenty of country style potatoes along with my toast.
Left with 2/3 of the steak lots of potatoes and the cinnamon cake, got two more meals from these leftovers. Wish they served fresh orange juice and maybe homemade preserves still a great value.

This restaurant looked cute and unique, a last bastion in an area of chain restaurants, but unfortunately it failed its mission. Service was ok - locals clearly get preferential treatment. I ordered soup and salad, the chicken dumpling soup it was a starchy tasteless glop - no flavor (and one tiny chunk of chicken). The salad was good, but was literally soaking in dressing. The biscuit was dry and stale. The marion berry pie was disappointing - only a few berries in it. Overall the food was no better than a can of Progresso and a pie from Safeway.

My wife ordered a sandwich and fries - didn't get a better than 'ok' as feedback.

The restaurant has an extensive menu, with lots of deserts and pies, and a cute, homey interior, but it wasn't sufficient for me to return.
