Would love to return with more family! Have used Trip Advisor in the past and are usually satisfied with our experiences! We are grateful for people who respond sincerely! We enjoyed the view, the balcony, the fireplace, the pit, and watching families enjoying the same things!

Stayed at The Coho in early July in their Sunset Suite. This was not my first visit and will not be my last, I absolutely love this hotel. The rooms are very clean and the beautiful ocean views are to die for. Waking up with the ocean in the background is one of the most peaceful things I can think of. Our room had a full ocean view patio on the 3rd floor, king bed, fireplace and jetted jacuzzi tub. Everything was perfect for my birthday weekend and I will definitely be staying here, especially in this room type again. Thanks again Coho for a wonderful stay at the beach!

Great to wake up to the ocean! Arrived in the evening, walked around, chilled out and had a great ocean sleep and wake up! This is a fabulous place if you are driving down the coast and are eager to get some R & R by the beach.

Just got home from a two night midweek stay. Professional and warm employees. Beautiful views of ocean and beach, has fire pits nightly with comfy chairs. We had a room on the bottom floor(number 11), the sliding door opens to a private patio with chairs.

While the views are wonderful you have to go about 1/2 blocks to get access to the beach down a 60 ft flight of stairs. Something not mentioned in the literature. Oh well, we went down to avenue D beach access about 1 mile away and only 5 steps to the beach....spent most of the day on the beach and headed back to hotel...our room had not been made up...we were resting before dinner about 5 pm and that is when housekeeping came, jeesh way too late.

The hotel has complimentary videos, so we picked some out for after dinner. Only problem was the DVD player would not work. We tried to call the office but the house phone would not work either, I went up to office and the desk clerk came back to the room with me, apparently the AV wires were not hooked up properly. She was able to fix it.

Breakfast was just okay, powdered eggs and sausage or biscuits with gravy, fake OJ and no ketchup or salsa. Yogurt was good.

To make this hotel truly great attention to detail is needed, better pillows ( not rubber ones) Ice maker was out of commission first night and the dog smells left on the furniture in our room, wanted to love it but just can't .

Dear Jfocht, Thank you for the time and your review, Im glad to hear you enjoyed the view and firepits. Its unfortunate, that we are on a cliff and are unable to give beach access, if we could we sure would. I apologize that your room wasnt cleaned early, with high turnover during the summer months we do our best to get to each and every room unfortunate not all are able to be done early, we are working on a program that we are hoping that will improve the needs for our guests. Its good to hear that our staff was able to assist and correct the issue you had with the dvd player issue as well.
Your comments about our breakfast , makes me sad, as with this complimentary breakfast we offer , is an additional amenity that we offer, and not having a restaurant on premises , The offerings we give had been derived in accordance. The scrambled eggs are not powdered, but thank you for the salsa recommendation, We do carry ketchup however. As far as pillows we just placed an order for overall hotel replacement. and the ice maker was in the middle of repair as we had to lay concrete underneath it for leveling purposes, and apologize if this one was not in order for the night of your stay. We do have another on property and were hoping that this would of been a minimal issue. And with being a dog friendly property, we do our utmost to keep pets to pet rooms on the bottom floor, so if you stay with us in the future, you may want to ask for a room that is an upper level, as even with cleaning properly we understand allergies, and odor hindrances some guests. We hope that in the future you may decide to stay with Us again, and get you to love Us like many that have stayed with Us in the 40 plus years of Our exsistance. I would love to assist you in an upgraded reservation to make your stay memorable. So please reach out to me direct if you so choose.

Located directly on the beach, our room had a nice sized deck with chairs for lounging. Free Movies(DVD's) to rent. Fire Pit with chairs with Ocean View, to enjoy conversation and glass of wine. Short walk to beach. Staff was super helpful and courteous.

Room tip: 1st floor is for Pets, 2nd floor offers better view of Ocean
