We recently went because Anne Amie Vineyards & Coquine restaurant in Portland were having a winemakers dinner. The inn has been on our bucket list for a few years so we were thrilled to roll a lovely place to stay with great food & wines. We were not disappointed. The owners & staff were just wonderful and provided a totally relaxed atmosphere. Our cabin on the river was like camping in luxury in the woods. We plan on going back for another visit soon. It's a hikers paradise too!

Room Tip: Cabin 8 is right on the river & a very short walk to the Inn.

This inn is located inside the Umpqua national forest away from the hustle and bustle of city... It is pretty remote and once dusk sets in, you basically have the wilderness to your own.. we rented a cabin (with full kitchen) with 2 bedrooms and it was just beside the umpqua river.. we enjoyed the evening with a glass of good wine and home cooked food, listening to the river running by.. great experience! also it happened to be a full moon that night, which made it even a better experience..
The location of the inn is perfect for any kind of white water rafting activity during summer. Lots of great hiking trails, waterfalls nearby if you have a day or two to explore.. would definitely go back again!

Our New Year's Eve stay was our first at Steamboat Inn.
The inn is located on the beautiful North Umpqua River and has been operated by the same owners for the last 40 years. After checking into our comfortable cabin, we went to the library for hors d'overs and wine, then on a family style meal for all in the dining room. A selection of local wines was available and the meal was tastefully prepared and presented. After dinner conversation and desert were again in the large library. We returned to our cabin and watched as snow began to fall. It was a lovely evening with gracious hosts. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast the next morning with the first snow of the season continuing to fall. Altogether was a special time and well worth the trip off the beaten path!

On our way to Klamath Falls from Crater Lake we stopped for a late lunch. An absolutely beautiful spot. Lovely gardens and so peaceful. I had the best chili ever. Don't pass this by. Next visit I will book a cabin.
