The setting is nice for a buffet. They have a variety of foods and desserts. Food for adults and children(pizza, french fries, hot wings). And of course a variety of Sushi.

Crawfish and seafood is available as well.

The price for this much food was incredible and one of the largest selections I have seen in Portland. Let's start with the sushi. Very good and just about anything you can think of. Next was the seafood. It just went on forever. So many choices. Next was the prime rib, ribs, lamb etc.. first class food for a buffet! It was a great experience. I still can't get over the low cost of dinner. Sunday is a great time to visit!

We were visiting friends on the Washington Oregon border and they found this new place for us to try. This restaurant has been open about 6 weeks and as expected the restaurant was clean, bright and airy.

We were here on a Friday night around 5:30 to avoid the crowds. As it got later into the supper hour it started to get busy but not to capacity.

Food items included the following, to name a few:
• Nigiri sushi
• Unusual maki rolls (more than 10 different types)
• Mackerel, salmon and tuna sashimi, tako (octopus), poké (marinated sashimi)
• Other seafoods included – Dungeness crab, clams, snow crab legs, black bean sauce oysters, mussels, crayfish, prawns
• Frogs legs (tasted like chicken)
• General Tso chicken and Mongolian beef
• Dim sum items including sticky rice
• 6 soups including egg drop, miso and hot & sour, tapioca pearl & taro (dessert soup)
• Salads
• There was also a pho and noodle station
• Another section had rack of lamb, roast beef, turkey roll and sausages.
• The dessert station had fruits, jello, cakes, chocolate fountain, ice cream cups (3 flavours) and many more items.

The rack of lamb was tender. My spouse commented that the roast beef advertised as prime rib roast was not – more likely a cheaper cut.

As for taste, there was nothing to complain about. However, items like the crayfish and the clams, in my opinion, lacked flavour. Many customers seemed to load up on the clams and crayfish.

The sashimi was fresh as was the sushi rice.

There was a good variety of food to suit all palates.

As with any buffet unless the food turns over fast, the food that sits, tends to dry out or lose their crispiness. Since we were there near the opening time, it was not an issue.

The service was adequate as dirty dishes were promptly removed.

Dinner cost us $19.99 plus taxes per person. There was a 10% discount for seniors 65 and over.

Overall, I would rate the food experience as above average - 3+ out of 5.

Notes & Tips
• There is charge for tea and for soft drinks with refills

All of the good Chinese buffets are quite a ways away from Oregon City. The Best Buffet by Ross's in Clackamas is good and cheap, but not at the level of other places farther away.

But my wife noticed that the Hometown Buffet by Winco had been replaced by this place so we decided to try it for lunch. WOW! It's impressive as you go in -- all marble, clean, friendly. And the selection was different -- not all the typical things but some different choices. So many soup choices! A couple of things were odd -- the halibut fish was more bone and skin than fish. But the stuffed mushrooms, seafood casserole, vegetable shrimp, and teriyaki chicken were very good. And such an array of sushi! All very tasty and well presented. I liked how the food was on platters instead of just in metal pans.

It's pretty expensive for lunch ($13.50) but I think that's about the going rate these days. We will definitely bring my mother-in-law along next time and see what they have for dinner that's different. They also have lots of take-out and catering options. Thanks for being here!
