“Oceanfront Zen-Siesta”

Imagine your back yard being the magnificent Pacific Ocean, with it's waves crashing, whales going by and the sound of the Oregon coast's natural silence. That's the environment at this home. Odd to see an authentic hacienda in Oregon, but it was such a treat as the place was so beautiful. I felt like I was visiting a mission that I once stayed at in Sonoma. The home is well equipped, maintained and private. Soaking in the hot tub everyone night and watching the Oregon coast sunset was breathtaking. The area(Nesika Beach) is very quiet just north of Gold Beach. Great hiking, biking and stillness when you need it. The Rogue River is close by and deserves at least one day to explore that area. Deers, rivers, creeks, old growth forrest, whales, birds, ocean...a nature lovers paradise!

“Loved our stay!”

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! I only gave it four stars because the pictures are somewhat misleading-it looks like it's right on the beach-like you can walk to the beach from the house. But, the walk to the beach would actually be very painful because you would fall off the cliff that is in the back yard area down to the beach. I loved the lay out of the house, but the floor area got pretty cold in the early morning. The jet bathtub was a great surprise, but DON'T put bubble bath in it, unless you wanna be swimming in bubbles! And the sink in the bathroom downstairs has a faucet so small that you have to be a child to be able to use it because the stream of water goes so close to the edge of the sink. What's with the hundreds of crosses all around and the garlic hanging in the kitchen? Possible vampire attack? All in all, however, our stay was really great. The hot tub never really got all that hot, even though it kept saying it was 104 degrees. The front door to the house was REALLY huge and heavy and made a very loud sound when you opened it-but looked really cool. The washer and dryer was great because we were able to wash most of our clothes before we returned home. We went with our in-law's and my two year old son and he had a great time.

We spent 3 nights at the Hacienda Beach House with my son, his wife and our grandson. We had a wonderful time. Gourmet kitchen, fire in the fire pit every night and family hot tub get togethers. The view was outstanding. Fell asleep every night with the bedroom door open to the sound of the ocean.
