We really enjoy this course for its link challenges and friendly staff. Well maintained. Nice pro shop. Hotel and restaurant on site. Sand Trap is a fun place for food and drinks as well as a large green for the kids to play on at no charge.

Gearhart Links is a very nice links course that I really enjoyed during my vacation to the Oregon Coast. The holes are challenging, but fair and place a premium on playing from the short grass. Each hole is imaginative, and gives the golfer the opportunity to enjoy the game on an extremely well maintained course with varied lies and excellent greens.
The staff is attentive and the 19th Hole is great, reminding me pubs in Scotland. If you like to play golf in the Old World tradition, Gearhard Links is definitely for you.

If you love golf and love the Oregon Coast you'll love the Gearhart golf course. It is the oldest course west of the Mississippi and has been carefully brought back to its beauty by Tim Boyle (Columbia Sportswear) and Jason, the General Manager.

It's a real test but it would be worth it just for the beauty of playing a links course along the Coast.

You'll enjoy.

Son, daughter-in-law, grandson, wife and I played the Links for the first time in a long time. Had great memories, could even remember how some of the holes went even though they have changed some of the lay-out recently. Had a great time, many groans, laughs and kidding went on during this round. Greens are very fast, course is in good condition and the traps have the usual sea sand since it is on the beach front of Gearhart. A lovely little ocean side community with many great homes along the course. McMennamins have remodeled the clubhouse, restraunt (sp) and it is a great place for an ale and something to eat after a tough round. Put this one on your list of the visit.
