Pizza lovers in Columbus have a large number of pizza shops to choose from and Donato's is a good solid choice / an old standby. My son from Colorado always insists on Donato's when he's visiting Columbus since he can't get it in Denver. Note that Donato's has several different crusts. Their "famous, signature" crust is a thin crust but not like a NY style thin crust pizza. Their thin crust is our family's favorite. BTW - it's the original crust they've offered for over 50 years. I think it was in 2009 that they started offering their new "hand-tossed" crust. It is also very good but not as good as the thin crust. And -- a lot of other pizza shops offer a crust that is similar to the hand tossed but not as many offer one as good as the thin crust.
The store on N. State Sreet (at Maxtown Rd./Polaris Parkway) was built as an actual sit-down pizza shop but there aren't many people who "eat in". The business is largely like your typical pizza shop -- pick-up or delivery. They do have a drive-up - pick-up window.
This is a good place to get a reliably and consistently good pizza.
