Wonderful, manageable, informal gardens that have worked on since 1949. Lovely annuals, perennials, water plants etc. the "docent" was a very hospitable young man who appears sincerely dedicated. My wife asked about the poppies and he gave her a packet of seeds!

If you haven't taken the time to explore this hidden gem in Strongsville, it's a must! The gardens are beautiful and meticulously cared for by one person - UNBELIEVABLE!

If you live in Strongsville what a treasure and something to brag about. The history of the place is fantastic. A place to support and enjoy. Don't ignore. Makes a great family adventure.

Garden view, a nurture center in the center of the city, must see to believe. Started by one man decades ago and still a running nature center with beautiful flowers and trees.

I had read about this site in The Cleveland Plain Dealer and was curious. It's one of those places that is invisible even though it's in front of your face. The entrance is very hard to find, but trust your GPS - it's there. The main attraction is realizing that it was one individual that built this place up starting in 1949 without any funding. Even now it's all about volunteers helping out.

The garden itself can be toured in 1/2 hour unless you want to sit on the various benches to contemplate nature in the middle of a bustling commercial zone (a new Giant Eagle Market District is 30 seconds away). The current challenge is that deer on the premises have been destroying some plants and trees - forget about seeing any Hosta plants . But, it's worth going to at least once. If you want to be part of the upkeep and improvement crew, I imagine your time will be welcome, as would any donation to a nascent endowment fund.
