After a recommendation from a friend we crossed the river (actually a bridge) and made the trip to the West Side and boy was it worth it! (In reality we go West wuite often!)

I’ll start off by saying the only reason I gave Wild Mango 4 stars was that our server was pretty much invisible, taking way too long to get to our table, never checking on our meal after it was served and barely mumbling 10 words the entire time.

The good news is the food is the star here!

We began with a surprise; Green Pea and Scallop soup which was silky smooth and surprisingly light. Next we selected the Pepsi Shrimp, flash fried and sitting atop a bed of an asian cucumber, pepper and noodle salad tossed in a light dressing that matched perfectly with the spicy shrimp.

We chose 2 winners; First...
The Vietnamese Salad Bowl with
grilled shrimp, chicken spring roll, field greens and rice noodles drizzled in a spicy lime dressing-excellent! Entree #2 was the Ginger Soy Glazed Salmon served with a cucumber mango salad and sweet potato fries. What a combo!

They say you eat with your eyes and not only do the flavors blow you away, the food presentation is also top rate!

I have been coming here for years and have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service very much. Today I was very disappointed by our food AND our service (atmosphere was still lovely). My sister and I ordered the Vietnamese Salad Bowl, which we have had on other occasions. One of the nice features that a Wild Mango meal provides is a complimentary serving of the daily soup prior to the meal. Our salads were served prior to the complimentary soup - not a big deal but it is a nice part of the meal that we look forward to. Upon asking the server to take our salads back and keep the warm elements warm while we waited for our soup she seemed reluctant but agreed. The soup came and subsequently our salads - with the warm elements (chicken spring rolls, fried tofu) now stone cold and soggy. We asked our server to amend the situation, which he seemed to be agreeable to (after grabbing one of my sister's spring rolls with his hand to see if it was, indeed, cold) but after it was delivered again by another employee clearly NOTHING had been done. No one seemed to really care, and we were quite disappointed. I won't be rushing back, which is a shame since I do come here at least twice a year with my childhood best friend to celebrate our birthdays. Perhaps we will have to find a new tradition :(

I have dined here several times. The food is outstanding and presentation is very unique. However, the service today was deplorable. My friend described our server as rude. We waited forever before she even approached our table. When she finally presented she asked if we had decided what we wanted. Never took a beverage order, informed us of the soup of the day, or asked if we had questions. I had to tell her my friend had a question. She appeared at the next table with a tray of soup bowls, and lowered the tray so that those dining were able to reach up and serve themselves. In fact, that was their remark, " Oh, do we serve ourselves?" Clearly, this young woman is either not suited to serving or needs training by management. This experience will not prevent me from returning as I enjoy the menu here. I will say this is the first negative experience with a server. In fact it is more customary to be provided with superior service.

We stopped here because we saw the reviews and wanted to try something a little different. Walked in ,no one was at the door so finally ,when the young girl came to take us to our table, my husband thought that we may be under dressed because the place seemed upscale at first. The menu was on a board and it was long and awkward. Our waiter was the worst, he brought our drinks and came back and asked what we wanted, didn’t ask if we wanted appetizers, he seemed preoccupied the whole time we were there. Dinner came, I had the sesame chicken and it was very appealing but it was not hot! I had to ask another person for soy sauce because our waiter never came back to see how we were doing. Then the waiter came back with rolls that he said were fresh from the oven but they were stale and some little cup of soup and it was also cold. We had wave down someone else to get our check. Again he brought the check and didn’t offer dessert or anything thing! I honestly don’t know how they have all the great reviews because the service is terrible and the food was mediocre. We should have went to the deli place next door!

We took my Mom and sister here for dinner and it did not disappoint! Such a cozy atmosphere and very attentive service. We had the beef, wrapped chicken, shrimp curry and the Ramen soup... all delicious! The portions were huge and we all took home leftovers. Definitely recommend if you want a special night out!
