Had a party of 8 there on a Friday night following a golf outing. Slow setting up our table and on service, but the food was pretty good (had brisket, beef ribs, etc., everybody in the party thought the food was good) Good drink menu of house cocktails and specialty beers. Good pricing (about $25 a head including drinks). Service was VERY slow, but there was a nice vibe, live music, interesting refurbished building. Worth a visit if you are taking your time.

Hugely disappointed as this place was highly recommended.

I ordered a salad for an appetizer - it wasn’t delivered.

Drinks are not refilled in a timely manner.

Yes, they were busy on a Friday night, but I was underwhelmed with the service.

Waitress was acting like we were doing her a favor being a patron.

There must be not many dining options in Newark.

Summary - long wait and poor service. Let’s hope it was a bad night.

Since the city has updated the down town area, it makes date night fun and casual. This restaurant is delicious and the smoked wings are the best. This location is amazing for dinner and a quiet walk around town

The building was lovely and the server was very attentive. We noticed some definite discrepancies from what was listed on the menu compared to what we were served. I can't recall the exact name, but my daughter ordered the spinach and apple salad. It was supposed to have candied pecans and baked apples, it had plain pecans and apple slices. It was still very good, but not the same item my daughter ordered. The tortilla soup was delicious! My husband really enjoyed the cubano sandwich!

This has become our GO-TO place for dinner after our golfing trip to the Virtues GC. Comfortable, friendly staff... putting up with our friendly humor and bantering with us in return.. We enjoy feeling welcomed. All of our food was excellent. So far our fav dish is the macaroni skillet. Getting to the restroom is an adventure.... not difficult,
just different because of the building being older. Everything was clean and well taken care of. If we are ever traveling near... we will go out of our way to stop in for eats.
