Very relaxing day of golf Even though it rained off and on throughout the day it was very nice and fun. Grounds are immaculate, and beautiful , staff exceptionally nice. One of my favorite places to golf, it never disappoints. Good Job Chapel Hills Golf Club, I will be back soon and recommend anyone to come and check this place out.
My father-in-law puts together a big group that does the "Golf Until You Drop" deal every year for summer solstice. The course is a bit of a hike from Columbus but it's a very good deal for golfing all day with food and drinks. Our group manage to get in 54 holes and the course is in pretty good shape. The club house is an old church but it's a nice club house with a memorial to the Ohio armed services veterans.
Generally a nice course that pretty wide open and not too busy so you move pretty quickly.
Always a challenge and never boring. The course is pretty much open nearly year round and the first to open early spring/late winter. Even with the recent heavy monsoon rains, it drains very well. A bit hilly (take a gps cart) and enjoy the views. A really pretty course!
this is a very nice course with lots of beautiful landscaping and rolling hills. a challenging course with nice staff and good food!!! lots of good programs and outings available. definite must
Full disclosure – the foursome that I golf with likes to play golf for the fun of playing golf. We look for nice well-maintained courses but at the same time, we look for affordable courses. We don’t play many of the higher end / highly manicured courses but generally stick with the smaller but still well managed and well maintained courses.
Chapel Hill Golf Course opened in 1996 on the site of the former Mount Vernon Bible College. The original Chapel that once served as a place of worship now serves as a rather unique clubhouse. The clubhouse offers typical golf course fare – hot dogs, chips, pop, beer, etc. Rates are generally affordable with weekday rates of $23 walking / $35 w/ a cart and weekend rates of $30 walking / $42 w/ a cart.
Although we generally try to “walk” most courses, this is one course where we usually rent carts. The up and down elevations that make the course challenging also make it a long and challenging course to walk. If playing Chapel Hill for the 1st time, I’d strongly recommend using a cart. Then you can make your own decision on your next round.
