Owner description: Heini's Cheese Chalet is the factory retail store for Bunker Hill Cheese. We're a family owned business and have been making cheese since 1935, using milk that comes from small local family farms here in Holmes Co, Ohio. We make over 30 different kinds of cheese and offer free samples of every variety we make, and also sell a wide variety of other quality products, with a focus on food items made in Ohio.

A fun and tasty tour of an operational cheese factory. We so enjoyed sampling all of the different types of cheese, spreads and fudge.

This is a must-see! I always bring newcomers here. They have lots of cheese samples so you can try before you buy. Have never seen so many different cheeses in one place . They have a viewing room where you can watch the cheese making process. There is a limited bulk food department.

This place is fun! There are tons of samples to try before you buy. Expect it to be busy, but it's honestly worth it. We ended up sampling cheese, fudge, and lots of lil spreads w. pretzels and crackers, and then walked away with a bag of goodies.

The choice of cheeses is amazing. You can taste all the varieties giving you the opportunity to choose exactly what you want to buy. The observatory of the cheese making is the best in all of Holmes County. This is amuse stop every time we come to town. Kaufman’s Bakery across the street has the best donuts in the area, go to both places, it’s worth it!

Went on a day trip and stopped by Heinis..
Was amazed at the different amount of cheeses and meats to be sampled.
They were not making cheese on this day so we didn't get to see that..
We did buy some cheese and meat sticks for home.
