My wife and I spent three nights in the "Cozy Cabin", part of the Blue Rose Cabins operation. Constructed for two people, it was just that. Not very spacious, but adequate for two. The cabin included an electric stove, a microwave, refrig...everything for a nice vacation. A deck included a hot tub, a table and chairs for two, plus a 2 burner grill. You'll need to take your own food and drinks. There's no TV or wi-fi service, but there is a CD player and even some CD's to watch. We watched CD's two of the three nights very comfortably seated in a two person love seat. The cabin is a very good deal for the money. We'd return to the Blue Rose Cabins, maybe to a larger one for a wee bit more space. I should add that it was very clean when we arrived.

Room Tip: Be sure to look at the Blue Rose brochure to pick a cabin size with which you'll feel comfortable. You'll have ample room and privacy.

We booked the cabin the very afternoon that we wanted to stay and the openers made sure to get us in the books. Cabin was just what we had expected. Nice and cozy atmosphere for a weekend getaway.

Upon arriving home after locking up the cabin, we discovered we had left a very expensive flashlight in the cabin. One email to the owners later and the flashlight was found and in the mail. Outstanding service! Thanks again Kimberly of Blue Rose Cabins! We will be back!!

My wife and I spent over $300 to stay in the "big woody" cabin. The wall AC/heating unit was grimy with spilled "who knows what" on the top. The grill was a dirty mess as was the green, mildew cover, unswept, uncleaned deck. Muddy footprints on porch, uncleaned fire pit that contained beer bottles. Beer cans in the brush that surrounded the cabin. I knew thinks we're going to be bad when I passed a paddle of campers, trailers, garbage, old cars , boats and garbage just prior to entering the property. What a mess, what a joke. Don't be fooled by the photos. PS. Owners don't care.

We made a last minute decision to take a weekend trip, we were disappointed to see most cabins in the area required a 2 night stay. So when she found the Pineridge cabin would accept us for one night, she booked it. When you turn off of the main road to head to the cabin, you drive past a huge pile of junk, abandoned campers, busses, and cars, and the duelling banjos begin. The trail into the cabins in one lane, mud and gravel combo. Glad I had a 4 WD truck. We had to back up twice on the way in and out of the community to let oncoming traffic past. The cabin was actually nice, just not very clean. The bed clothes and pillows could use replacement. As with other reviews, the gas grill was nasty, not something I would've cooked on. I just felt for lodging over 200 dollars per night the whole place was disappointing. It's a shame, too because at one time I'm sure this was a neat getaway. Quit apologizing for the bad reviews, and spend some money on these cabins.

Thank you for your review and feedback. The property with the junk, abandoned campers, etc. is not part of Blue Rose Cabins or owned by Blue Rose Cabins. Unfortunately you will run across some properties like this in Hocking Hills/Hocking County. We do have a one lane gravel driveway on our property. It isn't practical or common to build a two lane gravel driveway through the woods to get back to cabins in the woods. The "mud" mentioned in the review is actually the base of the gravel driveway. We do maintain our gravel driveway. We also require guests to drive a 4x4 in the winter months and it is spelled out in the confirmation email that we send to all of our guests including this guests when they reserve a cabin. The driveway and the 4x4 requirement are pretty typical of a cabin business in Hocking Hills. We do want to make all of our guests happy so they want to return. In the confirmation email we send to all of our guests it ask the guests to call us during their stay if there is anything that they are not happy with and we will gladly send cleaning staff out to fix/resolve any issues on the spot. We did not hear from this guests during their stay. Thank you for your feedback!
