I loved this little place so much. Very cute. Very clean and well stocked. I wish I could move this little cottage back home lol. The owners were lovely. If I could give you more stars I would. Thankyou so much.

I love anything vintage, old and history. Sorell Barracks was our choice when we stayed last night in Tasmania. It was a great place with stay with all the modern facilities. The owners welcomed us and we feel relax and unwind. They supplied us breakfast basket with yummy local produce. We had a great stay.

What a lovely spot in Tassie. Sorell is a lovely little town very close to the airport and many other places of interest
Sorell Baracks family cottage was superb, it was clean, organised and like a step back in time. We just loved it.
The hosts, Tracey and Chick were so welcoming and friendly it was a pleasure meeting them and I would highly recommend staying there.

Hi Lynne, thanks for taking the time to write such a lovely review. It was a shame you only stayed the one night. Hope you return again with your lovely adult children. It was also lovely to meet you all too. We try our best to provide everything you could need to make you comfortable. See you next time you are in Tassie hopefully. Chick & Tracy

A great place to stay, very helpful and enthusiastic host, close to shopping centre and hotel for dining. Upstairs room in historic barracks building with lots of genuine artefacts in the room, superb continental breakfast supplied, comfy bed and cosy room. Great atmosphere.

Room tip: Upstairs rooms are more unique

We stayed at the Old Barracks twice in January, the owners Chick & Tracy are lovely host and made us feel very welcome.
The Barracks are set in a cottage garden. This Old World Accommodation is beautiful and it's like stepping back in time.
The rooms are very well equipped with all the essentials you require.
The host supply a delightful breakfast basket to get you off too a great start for the day.
We booked here again for our last night in Tasmania, reason being that it's very close to Hobart Airport.
Tracy gave us a upgrade for our last night which was very much appreciated.
Thank you Chick & Tracy for your warmth and understanding your a lovely couple. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend your B&B to everyone.
See you next time were in Tassie.

Regards, Trevor & Mary Dove.
