I only had time for an overnight stay however I was very impressed with the accommodation, setting and "feel" whilst at Tall Timbers. The heaters in my room had been turned on prior to my arrival and it felt cosy, contemporary, comortable and was clean. Being a cold winters night I was pleasantly surprised that the large dining area at Tall Timbers was also warm and inviting. The meal was wonderful and compliments to the chef. The staff (bar and food) obviously enjoy their work and were helpful, professional and considerate. Overall, a refreshing experience and I look forward to returning but next time for a longer period ! Mike Gaffney ...

Room Tip: Reception staff are very helpful and will suggest affordable options for accommodation best suited to your needs.

Accommodation was quite cosy- room was a bit dated but the bathroom had been recently refurbished and overall it was very comfortable. Ate dinner at the restaurant and the meal was really good, as was the service. Would highly recommend staying here.

Great helpful & friendly staff
Tall Timbers ticks lots of boxes & was great for our few days on the coast. Just feels like it could do with a bit of a spruce up. Feeling bit dated.
The restaurant was quiet , offered food service but nothing exceptional in presentation. We had a delicious stripey trumpeter but unfortunately the dish was let down by poorly presented bed of onions - that was too much onion.

Room Tip: Make sure your heater works

We arrived on a cold rainy day and were very pleased to find that the heater had been turned on and our room was lovely and warm. We had a few drinks in the sports bar (very pleasant) and 2 dinners and one breakfast in the Kauri Bistro - the food and service were exceptionally good. Every staff member was friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would happily recommend Tall Timbers to anybody for a short or long stay - great service, comfy beds, free wifi - what more could you ask for?

Recently stayed for 2 nights at Tall Timbers. I booked a 1 bedroom lakeside apartment. The apartment ended up being a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment which was a real surprise. The apartment was luxury for the price. Great value for $157 a night. The apartment was clean and self-contained. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking. There were also heaps of amenities such as soap towels etc. There was also a nice deck of the back overlooking the lake and ducks. The grounds are lovely with lakes, walking tracks and are well maintained. Check in and check out was easy both the ladies at the front desk were friendly. The complex also had a bistro/restaurant, bottle shop, gaming lounge, sports bar with open fire and pool table. There is also a great size pool/spa which is great after a day exploring. Tall Timbers is located a short drive to the town centre of Smithton. Overall a great place to stay cannot fault it. Great place to base yourself to explore Arthur River the Tarkine Drive and North West Tasmania.

Room Tip: Lake side apartment, Executive apartment
