Had a wonderful privTe tour around the Mill grounds and up the mill. Knowledgeable Miller with so much information to share. Walking in ancestors footsteps for the day.

Stayed overnight in Oatlands and one of the highlights was to be a visit to a working windmill.
As a past volunteer in its restoration and funds raise and given by Government, it was disappointing that it was closed.

Visitors can walk around the precinct but all the buildings are locked up and the visitor centre is closed. A notice advises a new lease operator is being sourced and plans to reopen with a distillery. Will be worth a visit when it reopens. It would have been appreciated if the website had been clearer about the closure as we have detoured to see the working mill. The website only refers to guided tours not being available but infers the mill is still producing flour.

This is a beautiful old wind mill in an interesting setting which includes old sheep yards at which auctions were regularly held. It is well worth a visit as the setting and the architecture is delightful.
