Not too sure about this place. It has everything going for it and could be a brilliant venue but sadly it wasnt.
We ordered a coffee and scones just to make a stop during a long drive worth while. No greeting or feeling of being welcome upon entering. The person serving did not crack a smile once, or spoke . The scones were a bit on the hard side, but the coffee was good.
It was a busy cafe which is a gooid sign I guess, but that may also have been because other cafes werent open like a lot of places as we drove along on our road trip.
If you're not expecting five star service or food, then this place will satisfy you. A small glimmer of a smile to make you feel welcome would have been a nice touch.

We stopped here on the way to Ouse and were charmed by the venue, the proprietor and the wonderful bakery food on offer. All we wanted was directions but we decided to take some goodies for afternoon tea and were not disappointed. Worth diverting through Hamilton for if you pass that way. Worth driving from New Norfolk if you want quality, value and service.

I guess most business here is from passing traffic but my experience(s) in this cafe make it much more worthy.

Great, fresh coffee. Fabulous home made pies (try the outstanding Cauliflower Cheese) and very warm, friendly service.

It deserves to do well and your stopping here will help.

We stop over at Hamilton for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised by this cafe's relatively good selection of pies. Since Scallop pies were supposed to be great in this region, we ordered 1 and we were not disappointed. There was a generous amount of fresh scallops in the pie and it was piping hot. Delicious!

4 of us stopped here on the way to Richmond. We had the meat pies and never had better the rest of the trip. Also had great ice cream! They looked over our map and gave us suggestions and let us buy something that was not on the menu after it was admired. I was concerned when told the toilet was out back, which in the USA means a out house. The bathroom was clean! great stop on the road from Straham or Queenstown. We mentioned several times on our trip that we wish we could drive back to this cafe for lunch.
