Lots of areas to visit. A variety of walks available to suit all abilities. Regular shuttle buses to the various stations.
Drivers and staff were helpful and friendly.

We visited on Good Friday which was probably a mistake - the park was crowded with day trippers and tour buses alike. When you're visiting somewhere that's supposed to be the classic Tasmanian wilderness, a few thousand people really ruins it!

The facilities at the park centre are basic - especially the terrible cafe with groups of people hoarding tables using free wifi.

But the paths are well marked and beautiful off the beaten track (and the best way to avoid too many tourists!)

This was our first visit and Cradle Mountain, it was everything we hoped it would be. It rained everyday that we were there, however it added to the beauty of the environment. We did a number of short walks, everyone was in pristine wilderness conditions: fallen trees and branches covered in moss, properly constructed boardwalks to protect the flora, dense trees creating true forests.

A must visit. Full credit to the Tasmanian Authorities responsible for keeping this wilderness in such excellent condition, for all the enjoy.

Been there 5 times (including, raining, sunny, and snowing condition), still enjoying the view. Park your vehicle at the visitor centres outside, and get to Dove Lake by shuttle bus. Bus tickle included in your entrance fees, or park pass, which ever you have. The ride is about 20 minutes, and the shuttle bus run every 15 min.

Bring plenty of water, snack, and rain jacket (weather may change rapidly). Toilet available at both visitor centre and the entrance of Dove Lake. There is also a shotcut coming down. It took us 1 hour and 15 min to go up, 45 min to come down with the short cut (see picture). Together with time for the shuttle bus, allow at least 5 hours at the site for day trip.

Wow, what a destination. Park is well signed and maintained. We did the dove lake to ronnies via marions lookout and crater lake. Rainy, blowing a gale and snowy at the top but OMG what an awesome day. Trail a good mix of boardwalk and natural path but lots and lots of steps also which i found a little tricky. Definitely need moderate fitness for this, especially in wet weather and decent clothing. Only disappointment was the wombats kept hiding from me
