A true indication of just how difficult the miners worked to produce the gold. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the museum and tour and, particularly, of the nightmarish experience that Todd and Brant endured. A must see.

Initially, we were just expecting a tour of the mine but this museum is so much more! Inside, you get to see historical technologies, vehicles and nostalgic artefacts of life from back in the day. Much of the museum is extremely hands-on, and we especially loved the telephones area. It was also an interesting experience reflecting on the 2006 mine collapse and being able to see the mining buildings and equipment in person. Overall, it was an amazing experience and definitely very valuable as we spent over 2 hours here... it definitely is not a small museum!

After all the 2006 Beaconsfield exposure, it was really an interesting, informative and worthwhile experience to visit. Highly recommended.

I was pleasantly surprised at the layout of the museum which offers hands-on interaction with some of the mining equipment plus little pieces of nostalgia for those who can remember when these were in use as part of our modern day life. The museum covers multiple floors and is self-guided. The gift shop is quite large and offers much to look at. Pricing is very reasonable especially if you purchase the pass with the platypus and seahorse worlds. This is a must for families looking to have a full days fun at a terrific price.
