Loved the location, the service, the activities, pretty much everything about this place. 4 of us stayed in Waterside villa - 20m from water and there was water skiing, fishing going on. Best idea is to hire a brazier from reception, get some wood and sit round a camp fire of an evening.

Room tip: Riverside Villa. Not cheap but beautful location

We booked a powered site for three nights. When we arrived the receptionist was lovely. She told us that the park was under renovation and that we could drive around and pick any site we wanted. We picked site 33 as it had three slabs. Unfortunately once we set up the van we found that this site had no tap. Not a problem as there was no one else around us we just used a tap on the next site. The park is well kept however I can see why they are renovating the sites. Most like they used to be permanent van sites which have now been demolished. The concrete slabs are uneven. The amenities, although very clean, could do with some work. The toilet and shower doors have been etched into by some lowlifes and could do with sanding back and repainting. It is unfortunate that most of the activities have a charge attached. We would have liked to play putt putt but not at a $12 charge. This is one of the more expensive parks we have stayed at being $55 a night so we wouldn't expect to pay for activities. It would have been nice to have been informed of the reno work when booking as we spent Monday listening to bob cats and heavy rollers going around rather than the lovely birdlife. We would have reconsidered booking at that time.

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry your experience wasn't great. From time to time we have to undertake renovations so the park remains at its best. We trust your next visit will be more enjoyable.

Stayed one night here in July. One of the few places close to Sydney that allow fires so took the whole family with our caravan. Great powered site for $60 - had the pick of the park.

Firewood was $20 and was a terrific night roasting marshmallows.

Very nice park management.

Great to hear you had such a great time. Camping is so much fun for all the family and camp fires are even better. Thank you for your review and hope to see you again soon.

We booked the Riverside Villas for my Mother's 80th Birthday, as they had Winter Specials. They were beautiful, and such a great view of the River. We celebrated in the Sports club and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was great and for the amount of people (45) that we had, we were all served quickly. It was a wonderful weekend, and the staff, especially Bill and Sharon, made it even more special. This is about the 4th time we have stayed, and certainly wont be our last!!!
Thanks again

Room tip: Riverside Villas are the newest ones, with Weber Q out the front, 2 villas are wheelchair accessable.

We took our camper trailer to Del Rio last weekend and had a perfect few days. The site staff were friendly and helpful, the bistro was great for a bite to eat and drink and the kids just loved toasting marshmallows on our open fire. There are some very interesting bush walks and the surrounding countryside is delightful. We will be back. Highly recommended
