It's a short easy walk to the falls lookout and an good view of the falls, gorge below and way out to the scenery beyond. There hasn't been any rain lately but still a good lot of water. Would be massive after rain. The rock pools at the top of the falls are so pretty and would invite you to take a dip on a hot day. This is one of the parks in NSW with a vehicle entry fee of $8 per day which is self registered. Not one car had a slip in their window. Stop at the platypus pool and you might get lucky. We camped at White Cyprus Camping area. The river here is nice too. Also worth a look is Morgans Gully day use area. Read about it on the signage at the falls as none at the gully. Check out the Nat Park reviews.

We visited in Winter and were the only ones there. Fantastic view of the waterfall and valley below. The rockpools are great to explore. Would have been good to have a little blow up boat to explore more. We also stopped at Morgans Gully which is along the same road. Great parts to explore here too.

Another of the places I visited many times growing up, and had the chance to take my son there on a visit to Australia.
The drive from the highway is down an unsealed but well maintained road, and is quite a distance. Take it easy, and there are no problems.
There is a large car park with picnic facilities where you start the walk from.
The walk to the viewing platform is down a sealed path which is well looked after and signposted.
The viewing platform is not at the best angle to see the entirety of the falls, but it does give a decent view, and a spectacular view down the valley.
The path also has a branch down to the rock pools at the head of the falls, which can be a respite on very hot days so long as care is taken.
Not the greatest falls in the world, but well worth a visit to experience the unsealed road, the granite belt landscape, the magnificent valley view, and the sound of water cascading, with a dip thrown in for the adventurous.
I have been going hereon and off for over 40 years now, and will still return next time I'm in the area.

Its only a short and reasonably level walk to the falls but well worth the effort. If you climb Bald Rock this is also possible to do in the same day The falls cascade into a very deep and stunning, picturesque valley.
