We made a late booking and I think had the last table. We received a good welcome from Abby, who was our waitress for the night. Our table was good, and both the decor and the cleanliness excellent. My wife chose the Barnsley chop special, and I had baked hake with risotto. Two very different meals, both top quality and simply delicious. This was our first visit but definitely not the last.

Wonderful service. Wonderful food. We booked for Saturday night, which was very busy, but the staff could not do enough. Some of the menu was not available, as it was sold out, but still a lot of choice. We really enjoyed our evening at the Red Lion.

My first visit to this beautiful country pub to eat and I have to say the food was simply outstanding, We stopped in for Sunday lunch and this is one of those dishes that can be kind of hit or miss in most establishments. The beef was amazing, tender and so flavoursome, roast potatoes spot on and complimented with well seasoned vegetables. This is definitely somewhere I will enjoy returning to and sampling more of the items on their menu.
