Stayed in Cider Barn and found it to be an ideal base for exploring the local area. The converted Barn is an 'upside down' house with two relatively small bedrooms as well as a separate toilet, very large bathroom and hallway downstairs. The overall living space is large with plenty of room to spread out in the upstairs hall way, living room and kitchen diner. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need to enjoy cooking.

We enjoyed a swim in the pool although it is only small so may get busy if all cottages are occupied. We parked two cars at front of cottage.

During our stay, we enjoyed a stunning Sunday lunch at The Reeves Restaurant in Dunster, as well as meals at The Spice Merchant and The Swan Inn in Watchet. Please note bookings are required at all even in off peak times (stayed in October).

We walked 8 miles along the England coast path to Minehead, and took the steam train back to Watchet. A day exploring Dunster Castle is well worth it, get there for opening at 10am and you will be able to get tickets to go on the additional 'behind the scenes' tours which have limited availability daily. Walk between Tarr Steps and Withypool was enjoyable, but very muddy in parts and the path by the river was quite challenging over rocky sections at times. Lynton/Lynmouth are definitely worth a visit including a walk to the Valley of the Rocks followed by Fish and Chips at the Esplanade Fish Bar.

Overall, a lovely location to explore Exmoor and the north Somerset coast in a very homely cottage. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We have stayed in Watchet on several occasions, always in an old fishermans cottage with lots of character - the cottage was sold. I found Croft Cottages online. We stayed in one of the bungalows. Although it lacked the olde worlde charm of the cottage it was really comfy and homely. Nice small private garden. Very quiet. Bungalow well equipped.Loved hearing/seeing the steam trains puffing past.Loved the swimming pool - that was a highlight for me.
Andrew and Kirsten ( owners ) were very friendly and approachable.
Great base for the West Somerset Railway, lots of lovely walks and not far from many attractions.
Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in Oak Barn, location good, close to town centre, railway + an excellent bus service to Minehead, Dunster etc., and very quiet considering your so close to everything, and car parking right outside your front door.
Just two of us staying, bedrooms downstairs, lounge (large) + an excellent kitchen upstairs, everything clean and tidy on arrival. The owners made us feel very welcome, just one minus, the quality of the double bed, certainly not 5 stars. We had a wonderful weeks holiday.

We spent a week in Linhay no5 at the end of July the accommodation is lovely with everything you would need, the owners are lovely. We took two teenagers who loved the pool. Handy for shops and only a short drive to Minehead. Great having a downstairs bedroom and bathroom for my elderly parents, also Archie the cockerpoo was madewelcome too!
