We had a wonderful 3 nights at the hotel. Our extra large room was very comfortable, exceedingly clean and well equipped. Breakfasts were delicious, and we recommend dining in the restaurant in the evening. All staff were friendly and helpful. We look forward to returning soon.

We wanted a quiet two day break and could not hve made a better choice. Comfortable room, clean with kettle and plenty of coffee and tea. We were given a small cold flask of fresh milk on arrival. Splendid supper in the restaurant and an outstanding breakfast in the morning. Their car park was full but we found parking in the long stay park just 5 minutes walk away, when space became available in the hotel's car park we took it.

We booked a weekend away for my husbands birthday a few weeks in advance only to find that England had made the 1/4 finals of the world cup, match to be played that weekend! Husband was very concerned about missing the game but Porlock was a great place to be. The pub next door to the hotel was friendly and welcoming, a great place to watch and celebrate the result! The Lorna Doone hotel was lovely, our dogs were welcomed and our room was clean and comfortable. Parking is a bit of an issue as it's first come first served but we managed to find a space at the end of the high street, then moved the car when there was space the next day. We also booked for dinner one evening, wow! Totally surpassed my expectations, very high quality and extremely well cooked food. Our hosts were informative and friendly and the hotel was a great base for some fabulous walks with our dogs. Highly recommended.

Very pleased we stayed here, couldn’t have wanted anything more for location, accommodation and service. The village was lovely to walk round and they were helpful in the visitor centre. Stayed with our dog so chose a courtyard room with direct access to outside which was ideal for popping outside. Comfortable bed and fresh milk each day for tea/coffee was appreciated. The extra living room area was excellent too for extra space and if we just wanted to stay in to watch tv for a couple of hours. We were made to feel very welcome and the service was faultless. We ate in the restaurant 1 evening and enjoyed the food, the lamb cutlets were a highlight, and the quiet atmosphere was very pleasant. We would definitely recommend a stay here.
