This hotel ticks so many boxes- you are treated like one of the family but not in an intrusive way.
The room was spotless and had everything one could need including complimentary sherry and afternoon tea in the lounge was always available- our dog even got a sausage at breakfast- well positioned for exploring the Quantock Hills. The choice and quality at dinner was impressive. Thoroughly recommended

Our evening meal was lovely with lots of locally produced food that was very tasty. The service was very good and there was a great deal of choice. Breakfast was also fabulous with lots of choice from the hearty English breakfast to smaller dishes.

There is a lovely homely feel to this hotel & a warm welcome from sisters Carol & Julie. We stayed 2 nights in a large room which was very spacious with a spacious bathroom too. The building is full of character, clean & nicely presented. Extra touches including complimentary tea & cake on arrival (very welcome after a long journey), a great range of refreshments in the room including fresh milk for tea & coffee. Very good food for breakfast & in the evening. The only down side for us was a mattress that had 2 very large dips in & was not comfortable. This hotel is dog friendly & we would like to return with our little dog to enjoy some of the lovely local walks, & maybe try another room.

Room tip: Rooms at the front are close to the road, but at night there was not a lot of traffic.

A warm welcome; complimentary tea and cakes on arrival. Spotless room with lots of nice touches including sherry. Excellent food cooked by the owner. My wife said that her steak and her breakfast were the best that she has had anywhere. Generous portions; no room for dessert. I can heartily recommend it.

Room tip: Standard, classic, luxury roooms. Our classic room was of a high standard. The best bedroom has a four poster bed and roll top bath.
