Petit pub pas cher, situation pratique et bâtiment de charme, chambre spacieuse, petit déjeuner copieux et traditionnel, personnel
charmant. Deco et salle de bain pas de première fraîcheur mais literie très confortable.

Cosy cheap pub. We had a huge family room which decoration and bathroom would need a bit of upgrade but the beds were good and the price is really value for money. Full English breakfast included was nice.

Went for Sunday lunch and thought The Bell was really good value for money. It is 1 of the few places that I have visited that had roast lamb on the carvery, and it was cooked perfectly. Thank you and well done.

I booked into this hotel for I night on 28th dec. had no expectations and expected a scruffy old coaching inn. I was over optimistic ! My single room with the old portable telly and the canvass wardrobe was a throwback to the 70s . The bathroom was down the corridor although it was my exclusive use ! Luckily there was not cat to swing. Heating was switched of at 9pm. Breakfast - I arrived as the “chef” was taking his coat off. Decent scrambled egg but as he put his coat on he said I should leave my key at reception. I was the only guest at that moment alone in the place. Why did they stick me in room 1 and why is this place allowed to stay in business. Shame on the local authority

Go in at lunchtime to order dinner, it really is that slow.
Plus the fun thing about it is that you will probably get someone else's order. It's like a food swap shop.
The food however is genuinely very tasty and it is quite novel having it like warm.
The entertainment provided by the complaining customers and the management arguing means that the time passes quickly.
So in short if you fancy salad for tea and you are in town at lunchtime pop in and order it. Book a table close to the bar for the entertainment.

Having visited this hotel for the first time yesterday.
Smell of old chip oil.
Cold in restaurant area.
Service diabolical, disgusting dirty condiments on the table. Food disgusting, chips were black, fish not fresh, ham in chunks. Overall horrible. Ordered 1 dessert and after half hour wait was told it would be a wait as they had to serve main courses to others so we cancelled it. The only reason we didn't complain there is my daughter and I took her 93 year old grandmother out for a treat and didn't want to spoil it for her. NEVER eat there.
