“Heaven on earth!”
Reviewed 21 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

To sum this property up in one word would be "wow"!! We stayed for a week, having just returned home. The booking process was very easy and having stayed in the property, in our view, the price was extremely reasonable! On arrival at the cottage the fire was lit and a slice of cake and a scone each were waiting for us (all of which were great and very well received!!). We were in and out quite a lot during the week as there are loads of places to visit in the surrounding area but Robert managed to catch up with us to tell us things which would help with our stay, he is such a lovely bubbly man, we felt like we had known him forever on our first meeting! When u leave the meters are read, and u pay for any electricity u use over the allocated amount which I can't remember just now so don't want to give misleading info! U will want for nothing here, there is tea, sugar, cutlery, crockery, towels, loo roll, u name it, it is there, all u need is food. A fab place which we would highly recommend

“Welcoming cottage - very homely”
Reviewed 6 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

I really warmed to Bluebell Cottage and found it very homely and comfortable. Fire lit on arrival and afternoon tea laid set the tone. The decor is what you'd expect in a cottage and works well - all of a very high standard, from really comfy beds to a well equipped kitchen. Location is great and I'd certainly book again. A few issues (like no wifi and limited hot water) but the owner is aware and after all the idea was to get away from it all!

“So Relaxing”
Reviewed 24 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We stayed with our 9 year old son for the Valentines weekend and we had such a great time. The fire was roaring , and Robert was so welcoming - the kettle was on and there was a 'cream tea' waiting for us...

The cottage was clean & tidy. The furnishings where excellent - the bedding was FAB - so much so that I asked Robert who made the quilts.....

We went into Berwick and walked around the walls - we went to Edingburgh and did the bus tour - and we went to Holy Island - and couldnt wait to get back to our 'cosy cottage'...

Would definately recommend and would love to go back again his year.

“Beautiful self catering accomodation in a lovely part of the world!”
Reviewed 10 October 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Our family stayed in Bluebell cottage for a week in August. The cottage was well equipped and spotlessly clean. We really liked the open fire which was used as the weather wasn't great. It had even been lit for our arrival which along with the cream tea made us feel very welcome. The owner Robert was fantastic. We arrived late yet it was no trouble for him to go and bring us a travel cot which I'd forgotten to request. I'm writing this at work looking out over a wet gloomy south London amnd wishing I was back at Bluebell Cottage looking out over the beautiful view!

“A cosy and comfortable holiday cottage break”
Reviewed 27 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

As a family of four we spent a great week at Bluebell Cottage. Well situated 5 minutes from Berwick, with the coast and Scottish borders on the doorstep. The cottage was well furnished and very comfortable. An open fire in the lounge was a particular treat. The kitchen had all one could expect. The only improvement would be a better wifi connection, but being on holiday it wasn't a bad thing!
