Our second stay at this cottage, & had another lovely stay. Sadly the weather wasn't the best, but that's all part of holidaying in the UK. We still managed to get to the beach at Bamburgh, & visit Seahouses, Alnwick (the Bailiffgate Museum is well worth a look!) & Berwick-on-Tweed.
The cottage itself is cosy & comfortable, yes it's remarkably close to the railway line, but the trains go by so quick you get used to them pretty fast, & the warning beep for the level crossing has been reduced in volume & is virtually inaudible from inside the house.
We enjoyed a lovely Easter walking break in this, gorgeous, well equipped cottage.
There is everything you need and all spotlessly clean.
The coal fire was a lovely bonus for us :-)
The location is excellent and we loved the trains passing by.
Julia is an excellent host with prompt, friendly communication and she was kind enough to post back the boots my other half left behind !!
Would not hesitate in recommending and will definitely book again.
The property is a good size, clean and comfortable with all the resources you would need. It was lovely and warm and the information supplied was good. Unfortunately it is in need of refurbishment. This however was the only downside.
